Impacts of Science and Technology

Introduction    

   

            The present day society witnessed an unprecedented advancement is the arena of science and technology. Although science and technology are two different terms, these two seem to be one another`s complimentary. Science is often defined as systematic knowledge of the physical or material world gained through observation and experimentation whereas technologies can be meant as techniques and instruments sometimes as the products of science and the other times as the inventions made to satisfy the requirements of human scientific, engineering, mathematical, linguistic, and historical knowledge, to achieve, to achieve some practical results.

        Technology is taken as a consequence of science and engineering, although technology as a human activity comes before the two fields. For example, science studies the flow of electrons in electrical appliances by using already-existing tools of knowledge. This knowledge called technology is also used by engineers to create new tools and machines such as computers and other forms of advanced technology. In this sense, scientists and engineers may both be considered technologists.

Positive Impacts

        Man has progressed through science and technology. Today science has made the impossible things possible. He has reached on the moon. He has made difficult works easy through technology. Science and technology have made the life safe, secure and comfortable. Today we are totally depended on science whether it is inside or outside the home.  Now we can enjoy every second of our life through them. There are numerous sectors wherein science and technology have changed the existing state of affairs. For an instance, technology has totally changed the field of entertainment. Now we can entertain ourselves through computers, Games, TV and so on. Electric light, Air conditioner, fan, and cold drinks during summer season through refrigerators. All these things are possible through science and technology.

        In today`s world, traveling has been revolutionized and consequently has become very fast. We can travel a long distance in minutes through aero planes. We can complete crossing seas and oceans in few hours` time. We can glide like a bird in the laps of Himalaya and other beautiful hillocks. All this is possible through science. The railway is another way of comfort travelling. Cars buses. Scooters are other means of travelling which we use day and night. These things made our life trouble free. It is all the wonder of science. Modern is more and more dependent on them.

        Science and technology has been instrumental in bringing civilization across the human world through centuries. Not only travelling and entertainment has been revolutionized, but also education system and research has been made simplified with the help of it. Human being has at present converted the globe into a village with help of digital technology which is in fact another boon of science. The journey from the stone and iron age to the age of digitalization when not only the earth but also the universe seems in an easy reach for the human beings has been accomplished only because of science and its byproduct, technology.
